JSC Ingenium announces its participation in the upcoming IoT Alai Summit Colombia, organised by Alai Secure, as part of Andina Link on 19 March in Cartagena. The event will bring together professionals and companies from the IoT ecosystem in the country to analyse the present and future of IoT.
Juan Carlos Buitrago, Chief Sales Officer of JSC Ingenium, will give a presentation entitled “IoT amidst a new industrial revolution: trends and forecasts”, in which he will try to shed some light on the market situation of connected industries in the region.
By 2025, it is expected that there will be over 1.2 billion connected mobile broadband devices, of which around 64% will be consumer IoT connections, including devices for smart homes, wearables, and smart vehicles. According to the latest study presented by Statista titled ‘Latin America: total IoT connections by business model 2019-2025’.
“The growth potential of 5G technology in the region is a reality. It represents a fundamental transformation of communication services and use cases”, Buitrago says. “However, the success of 5G and the realization of its potential depend on how effectively the network can enable the digital transformation of enterprises” he concludes.
